Albuquerque, NM – January 6, 2015 – Paul Davis Restoration of New Mexico, in conjunction with the Albuquerque Area Firefighters Random Acts of Kindness, is donating structural cleanup, contents cleaning and restoration, soot removal, smoke deodorization, and structural restoration including labor and materials to a local woman in need.
Suncha Mannion, who owns her home in NW Albuquerque, recently experienced a devastating fire, which started in her bedroom with heavy black smoke that spread throughout the entire house affecting every room and all contents before the fire was extinguished. The fire left the house in an un-livable condition. Ms. Mannion, who was out of town during the incident, has no insurance coverage. Ms. Mannion lost many of her belongings, many of which were native Korean artifacts including furniture and handmade blankets.
“We are pleased to help Ms. Mannion and look forward to working hand in hand with the firefighters who donate their time to make a tremendous impact on the lives of our local residents,” said John Sheriff, owner and president of Paul Davis Restoration of New Mexico, Inc. “When the project is complete, Ms. Mannion will be able to return safely to her home again. We are there to help. Home restoration is about more than repairs; it’s about restoring lives, and helping those in our community who are in need.”
Albuquerque Area Firefighters Random Acts of Kindness is a 501(C) (3) charity created by dedicated firefighters from the Albuquerque and Bernalillo County Fire Departments. The firefighters firmly believe that individuals can make a difference in the community. The organization’s purpose is to perform random acts of good in the Albuquerque area. As the firefighters respond to calls for help, they observe situations where people need a helping hand or something that will improve their quality of life.
